TRUITION LAUNCHES VERSION 5.0 OF ITS CMS ECOMMERCE PLATFORM
New release brings significant upgrades to Truition’s eCommerce platform. New Self-Serve Store Management, Integrated Fluid Rich Media and eGift Certificate capabilities prime eRetailers for the upcoming holiday season
(Toronto, Canada – August 5, 2008) - Truition Inc., a leading provider of hosted eCommerce solutions, announced today it has launched Version 5.0 of CMS – its market-leading Commerce Management System for Retailers and Direct to Consumer Manufacturers. New Store Management features give more control to merchants, enabling them to maintain the design and layout of their eCommerce sites while providing advanced preview and approval workflows. New Gift Certificate features and Store Credit functions will let Truition's online retailers tap into the growing popularity of Gift Cards and provide better tools for customer retention and loyalty. Customers using Fluid Experience™ advanced rich media product display technologies will now enjoy more integration between CMS inventory management and Fluid's display management tools.
The new Store Manager functions in CMS 5.0 empower users to maintain their site with an ease-of-use and flexibility previously unavailable in the market. Truition is now making available to its customers an object-based store content management system giving merchants even more control of their site design and layout. Now Truition customers can not only change the design and layout of their site, but schedule when site changes occur as well as preview and approve site changes with a preview mode that lets them “travel time” and navigate their storefront as it would exist at some point in the future, or look at how it used to be in the past.
“Our key objective is to give marketers and merchants the tools they need to effectively and easily sell online, whether they sell fixed price, on auction, eBay or even a combination of those channels and regardless of where in the world they conduct business.” said Gary Black, VP Product Development & Operations at Truition. “The enhancements announced today well help our customers create richer shopping experiences for their consumers and more effectively merchandise their products in multiple global channels.”
The new eGift Certificate and Store Credit function of CMS 5.0 let a marketer create multiple gift certificate templates, offer those certificates in multiple languages and currencies and let recipients redeem gift certificates toward future purchases. Additionally, the new Store Credit feature can be used as a way for retailers to reward and retain customers.
Zooms, hotspots and rotations are just some of the advanced display capabilities in Fluid's leading product merchandising suite. With built-in support for Fluid Experience, the new version of CMS makes the process of embellishing products with advanced display capabilities from easy. “Truition really understands the importance of effective product merchandising and display. The new features in CMS will make Fluid's advanced interactive merchandising technologies even easier to deploy and we're excited that Truition is bringing these capabilities to their customers.” said Kent Deverell, Co-Founder and Principal of Fluid.
As a truly global on-demand multi-channel ecommerce platform with clients in many countries, Truition's CMS 5.0 also adds support for managing eBay listings in multiple countries and languages. Now customers can manage fixed price storefront, dynamic priced private-label auction and eBay public auction marketplace product sales all in multiple languages and currencies from a central location. Truition's CMS is the most advanced multi-channel eCommerce platform on the market. No other system provides its unique combination of multi-channel product sales with centralized inventory and order management.
